Healing times of piericings

It is necessary to know when your piercing is healed so you can do all the fun stuff like changing your basic jewelry to fun jewelry that expresses who you are and so you don't do it too soon and damage you body and risk nasty things such as infections.

DISCLAIMER: these are minimum healing times do not, remove jewelry for long periods of time and expect it the piercing to stay intact and not close up.

Ear Piercing

1. Earlobe piercing ( the earlobe) 4-8 weeks.
2. Cartilage piercing ( the ear cartilage) 5-9 months which applies to the following cartilage piercings below ↓

• antitragus
• conch
• daith
• helix
• ear head
• rook
• snug
• targus
• industrial

Facial piercing

1. Bridge piercing/ vertical bridge piercing ( the bridge of the nose). 4-6 months.
2. Eyebrow piercing ( the eyebrow) 6-8 weeks.
3. Nostril piercing ( nostril of nose) 3-4 months.
4. Septum piercing ( very small amount of skin between the cartilage of the dividing walls of the nostrils) 3-4 months.
5. Tear drop/ anti eyebrow ( the surface of the upper cheek, just below the eye) 3-4 months.

Oral piercing

1. Labret piercing (any lip piercing at the bottom lip, such as snake bites , spider bites etc..) 6-8 weeks.
2. Upper lip piercing (the upper lip such as the madonna , monroe or medusa ) 2-3 months.
3. Tongue piercing (the tounge) 4-8 weeks.

4. Uvula piercing (your uvula flesh that hangs down from the rear portion of the soft palate) 4-6 weeks.

5. Smiley piercing (Inside of lip specifically on the frenulum) 1-3 months.

   
   

Midsection and chest

1. Navel / belly piercing ( the belly button) 6-9 months. This applies for bottom navel and side navel piercing.
2. Nipples ( the base of the nipple) for a male it takes 3-4 months for a female it takes 6-9 months.
3. Sternum Piercing ( the area in between the breast) 6-10 months.
4. Hips (the pelvic area through the skin near the hip bone) 6-9 months.

Remember everyones body is different, thats why there is no exact healing time predicted. Some people heal faster than others especially with proper care, there are just approximate healing times.
